Sydney MotoExpo 2015


Over 24,000 motorcycle enthusiasts flocked to Sydney Olympic Park for the 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show proudly presented by InsureMyRide last month.


Despite scorching temperatures of 43 degrees threatening to keep patrons away on Friday, a record number of new bikes being unveiled ensured a bumper crowd for the opening day.


Brands including Oset Bikes, Triumph, BMW, Kawasaki, Indian, Victory, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, Yamaha, MV Agusta and Royal Enfield all released new model motorcycles just days after their global launch at EICMA.


The show was the perfect platform to also announce the plan for the 2016 Motocross and Supercross Championship campaign with the announcement of our signing of World MX rider and local hero Todd Waters.


A huge line-up of special guests mingled with show visitors across the weekend. Show Ambassador Robbie Maddison was easily one of the most popular guests, meeting fans Friday before returning Saturday to sign for almost two hours straight on the Transmoto stand.


Showtime FMX, Lukey Luke, Jack Field and Dave McKenna performed exciting stunt shows while Epic Darren captivated both children and adults alike with his motorcycle comedy routine.


Jack Field and the Flair Action Sports team  performed exhilarating stunts in hall 2. Also teaming up with The Hell Teams Paul Arnott and Oset Bikes Downunder Peter Goddard with their electric trials bikes both performing demos all day and a unique come and try set up for kids ranging from the ages of 2 to 16.


The Honda Motorcycle Head2Head EnduroX was a popular feature with show visitors. The purpose built track within the Charles Moses Stadium featuring single and dual lane tracks which saw Saturday’s main event won by Peter Boyle while on Sunday Dylan Rees claimed the honours.


Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries Chief Executive Tony Weber thanked Troy Bayliss Events for helping to showcase such a dynamic industry.


Australians witnessed the excitement, enthusiasm and professionalism of the Australian motorcycle industry, last month, with the Sydney Motorcycle Show displaying world-leading products, people and riders.
